Join the University of San Diego at the third annual USD Wine Classic to raise money for student scholarships. This event will feature USD family wineries and provide an opportunity to connect with alumni and friends and taste some great wines!

Taking advantage of the University’s beautiful environment, the USD Wine Classic will be held outside at the Garden of the Sea overlooking Mission Bay and the Pacific Ocean. The location boasts exotic gardens, fountains, and sculptures and when added with 25 wineries, gourmet food stations, Spanish guitar playing in the background, it will make for an unforgettable wine tasting experience.

Join St. Francis Winery President Christopher Silva as we taste, discuss and evaluate separate vineyard wines that comprise our Sonoma County “Old Vines” Zinfandel. You will taste wines from legendary 19th century head-trained, dry farmed Sonoma vineyards and then comprise your own blends to compare with the final product. A surprise single vineyard Zinfandel will also be tasted. This will be an interactive experience for all and one that you will not forget!

About Christopher Silva:

As President of St. Francis Winery & Vineyards, Christoper Silva has a single focus: crafting world class Sonoma wine. A fifth generation Sonoma native, Christopher's first career as a lawyer served him well as he honed his public speaking skills and thrived in an environment where attention to details is a must. In 1998 he joined St. Francis Winery & Vineyards, became chief operating officer of the winery at 33 and started traveling the world as its spokesman. At 38, he became president and C.E.O.
