Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice Garden of the Sea The USD Wine Classic features USD family wineries with wines poured by the owners and vintners. More than 50 wines will be available from boutique wineries in California. Join the campus community, friends and fellow wine enthusiasts. All are welcome. Includes glass, wine tasting and light food pairings In this special pre-event tasting, we will explore the components of a single vineyard chardonnay to see how they contribute to the final blend prior to bottling. We will look at the influences of oak (new vs. used) and cooperage, malo lactic fermentation, barrel fermented vs. stainless steel and then see how they meld together to create a finished wine. You will taste all these components directly from the unfiltered barrel and then blend the components to craft the finished Chardonnay. Reserve Your Tickets Now!
